My first experience of private dentists was this week. I visited 2 so had an instant comparison . One was NU Dental. I have health anxieties and hate going to appointments. I think I was the most relaxed I’ve ever been coming here. The floor is carpet, it doesn’t feel clinical , it doesn’t smell like a dentist. The consultation room has a TV on the ceiling which really helps the anxious mind as your brain can only concentrate on one thing at once . Hearing and watching something fools the brain and it can’t solo stress any longer . From the receptionist to the dental nurses to the lady doing the 3D scan , all made me feel like I had walked into their home. I never felt rushed like nhs , I was given options and came out feeling as if ultimately I would have choices and be more in control. They were also amazing with my little support helper, Toshi. I have yet to get the estimated bill so it might price me out as I can’t work due to failing health. I’m hoping it won’t be thousands of pounds and they can just do what’s essential and in future I’ll try to save up for other things ..If money is no object for someone I would say this is the place to go, as their knowledge was uptodate and they have alot of onsite work being done so no long waits for lab work whilst your missing teeth . Overall I was much more impressed with here than the other private dentist I visited 2 days ago, which didn’t seem any different to my nhs practice and I had to try find the differences. I wanted a second opinion to my nhs so that I could have more up-to-date materials and more options available to me. I felt this practice does offer this and with great kindness and understanding. I hope i can afford to have work done here i am awaiting a quote .

Aisha at Nu Dental was amazing in helping me feel completely at ease despite my nervousness. She was patient, understanding, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which really helped calm my nerves. Her friendly approach made the whole experience much more comfortable than I expected. I highly recommend her to anyone who feels anxious about dental visits!

Ruhma is excellent, she exceptionally looked after me and my teeth, the best hygienist and human I’ve met by far. All the team were so nice including the admin team. I’m grateful for everything Ruhma and the team have done for me. Looking forward to come back with continuous care of my teeth.
